JANE AUSTEN DRAWING IN STONE

A few hours ago I was inspired to pick up my drawing pens
and work on this drawing of Jane Austen.
I played with lines and hatching to bring out
what might seem like the many layers and contours
of a carved bust sculpture in stone!

Letting loose can yield some dramatic results,
and in this case some unexpected results!

Who would have thought that JANE AUSTEN
could look so modern and stoic!
I'll be using this image for a few handmade journals
that will be listed in my ETSY soon.
As always, creativity is in full bloom here in the studio!

  4. Oh! So I am going to have to get some of your Jane Austen stuff - really!! Tomorrow the plumber is coming to fix my tub - Ah - for a good soak once again - but after he clears out my account, I'll see what's left and maybe I can go shopping before the next pay period . . .

    We can only hope . . .

Now, do drop by my place - it's my one year blogoversary and I just had to mention YOU - the "anything" artist!

    Joy!
